Varia Vue puts a headlight and a forward-facing camera in one 200 g unit, which removes the usual problem of finding bar space for both and aiming them independently.
As a light it runs high, medium, low, night flash and day flash modes at up to 600 lumens in day flash and 550 lumens on high, visible up to a mile. As a camera it records 4K at 30 fps, or 1440p30, 1080p30 and 1080p60, continuously, off, or triggered by radar when paired with a compatible Varia rearview radar. An accelerometer locks footage automatically if it detects an incident.
Paired with a compatible Edge computer, Garmin watch or the Varia app, video carries GPS speed and location data. A microSD card is not included — the unit needs at least an 8 GB Class 10 card and supports up to 512 GB. Battery runs from 1.5 hours recording at 1080p30 on high to 9 hours in the most economical mode.
